DIV 5 SALMON CYCLE OF LIFE

 

I'm an Alevin 

Fresh from an egg 

Hiding in the rocks 

Stay close to the Redd

 

Yolk sac gone 

I've grown in size 

Emerging from the gravel 

As young small fry 

 

Swimming to the surface 

Gotta fill my swim bladder 

And I need some oxygen 

Got some food to gather 

 

And I love the cold water

I also love it dark 

Staying camouflage 

Near a log 

From the start 

 

Months go by 

Said I gotta go 

Head downstream 

As I grow into a smolt 

 

Was kinda scary 

When I reached the estuary 

But I gathered up my strength 

To commence to my glory 

 

Cycle of Salmon 

Is Cycle of life 

Every human being has to make a sacrifice 

Every thing we do

Is for the greater good

Taking care of others

Cuz we know that we should 

 

Now I'm in the ocean

Finally I'm free 

In the salt water 

It's so good to be me

Feeling in my soul

It's time to return

Back to the river where 

To the place I was born

 

Now I'm laying eggs 

Next generation 

Proud to be part

Of Salmon Nation

 

Now I'm getting old

Return to sand

This is the beauty of the master plan
